One truck, and you drive it

Just you and the truck? It knows.

When you are the only driver, LoadTally drops the payroll and keeps what a leased owner-operator actually does on a Sunday: check what the carrier paid, match the fuel, file the receipts, and put the taxes aside. Snap the paperwork or forward the email; it does the typing.

What it does for one truck.

The carrier decides what you get paid. This is how you check it, and keep the rest of it straight.

Your settlement, checked
Every load on the carrier’s sheet lined up against the one you ran. A share below your terms, fuel taken off twice, or fuel over the slip says “Looks short” — in dollars.
Fuel against the slips
Each fuel and DEF line the carrier took off sits beside the slip you bought it on. A slip nobody took off, or one taken twice, shows.
One home for a receipt
A toll, a scale, a wash: snap it on the load it belongs to, or it goes straight to your expenses. No approving your own slip.
Every load graded
Forward the rate con and the terms are read against that week’s diesel: no TONU, thin detention, no reefer-fuel line — before you haul it.
Taxes put aside
Self-employment tax and your bracket, worked from the year’s profit, with your nights away counted off the loads for per diem. Three weeks before each due date, it says how much.
The year on one page
Profit and loss, what a mile costs you and the rate a mile has to bring in, every receipt in its pile — for you, or a link for the accountant.

Nobody withholds for you. It works out what to.

The quarterly payment is the one that sinks a new owner-operator: skip it and April brings the lump and a penalty. LoadTally works it from your profit the way the IRS does — self-employment tax, then your bracket — after the per diem for every night the loads kept you away. It estimates; your accountant files.

No payroll in your way.

Tell the welcome you drive too, and add no one else. From then on it runs for one: Driver pay leaves the menu, a load ends at Done once you’ve checked the carrier’s sheet, and everything you do is in one app — no switching to a driver’s view of yourself. Hire a driver later and the payroll comes back the day you add them.
